Antidepressants and Weed.

Hi, I have been depressed on and off for the past year. I am about to go on an antidepressant and i was wondering which one i should take and if it will conflict with weed or not. I really don't know much about antidepressants and if someone could fill me in that would be awesome.

Which one you should take depends on your circumstance. You should learn as much as you can about your circumstance and research how helpful antidepressants are for people in your circumstance, and which one's work and discuss it with your doctor.

You've got to look at yourself and your situation, and you have to spend time and effort looking at what's going on. No one is going to be able to help you. If expect a doctor or a person on the internet to come up with the solution, you're going to be stuck in your situation. You can see it, you have to look. Just fucking look at it.

Some antidepressants make you put on weight, some make you lose it. Some are anti-anxiety, some are not. Things like that you should keep in mind when choosing.

Personally I think they're all a waste of time and money that numb your emotions (nice term for it: "mood stabilizing"). Look into something natural like kanna, see if that does anything for you.

You might start by trying to realize what your problems are before putting unknown substances in your body.

Im gonna throw a curve ball at you......You think it might be the weed that is depressing you?  Why not try to drop that for 2 months then see if you still need an anti depressant.

Yeah its really not like that. Its not anything affecting me. Im not just being a bitch. Its something else and im trying to fix it. Its not the weed either because this is just who i am. Thanks for the feedback guys.

The weed is a substance you are putting into your body that affects your emotions,sleep,energy, thought process, eating patterns, basically how you live your life.  Hence why your saying thats "who i am". Its not who you are its how the weed affects your mental process.

It was just a suggestion. But if Im right. Its the start of what an abuser calls "switching". Basically using another substance to combat how the other affects you. Never realizing that the first drug is what made you feel this way.

What if the weed is causing the depression and you knew it was without a doubt? Would you be willing to stop?

Well i barely ever smoke. i have been sober for about a month now. i started smoking about 5 months ago and this shit going on in my head has been there way before. i just wanted to make sure i could light up and not go into a coma or something fucked up like that.
