I am not sure if I understand what you just said. You can't have the good without the bad in life. I have both felt positive and negative emotional feedback. Depending on which one I am in, and my external environment, it changes the way I communicate with the world and myself. If I am in a good mood, I will do things just to be nice. Being nice is a moral that is associated with good feelings, so if that is what nice means, I do consiously make the choice to be nice.

Oh I see now. I would say that you can be nice without positive emotions for the sake of following societies morals and really not mean it. But you can also do it as an act of love, or compassion e.t.c. So the answer is yes or no.

i know what you mean. actually, i've been feeling that way for a while, but een unable to explain why it happens, until i did amt right for the first time.
heres my thoughts
people grow up in a society. that society, whether they want it or not, ensures that these people grow up with morals, beliefs, and preferences. you dont, by nature, dislike the smell of shit, but after seeing so many people react negatively to the smell, your brain is programmed to accept this shit as nastysmelling, so you react in the same way. people say they do things because its who they are, and up until the amt experience, i disagreed with them. i dont disagree with them anymore, because indeed, that is who they are, it is how they were raised. it was nothing they could have changed. so peoples' opinions are the result of society. dont worry about telling them this though... it's not what they want to believe, and they wont admit it to themselves
