All sentient beings are equal: a situation and thought

Hypothesis
People who are under the impression that All Sentient Beings are Equal are suffering from a prolonged illusion which will randomly one day end..

Situation
You are trapped in a tunnel with a bird. Something is out to kill you (eg. bear, tiger, human clone, antagonist of the equality of sentient beings) The bird starts squeaking (rawhing, chirping) continually. You need to KILL THE BIRD in order to silence it, otherwise your hunter will find you and kill you. You need to make a choice.What do you do?

Your options
*Kill a 'lesser' being*
*Sacrifice yourself for the bird (neutral being)*
*Be destroyed by a 'superior' being*

Hm???????



Thought
The universe is simply a comprehensible model of duality. Dark can not exist without light. There must be balance. There must be a negative and a positive or, a balance which is either nothing or everything. We can never really know the future so every belief about 2012 and this change in Consciousness is really unknown. There may be a change, but it can also be negative yes equal. Who knows?

So what about those people, probably like myself, who is battling my negative mind or ego. He who is trying their hardest to repress their negativity in an attempt to find peace, he who is addicted to trying to figure that which is out of human comprehension. If I become ego-free; where will my darkness, my negativity go?


Schizophrenic thought in Human Comprehension
The universe is time, the universe is yin yang. This balance only exists on a scale that we can conceive. The universe. This balance first started within nature, then in ourselves, then through ourselves we will gain understanding of the balance of our planet, but once we begin to understand the balance of our planet, will we begin to understand the balance of universe, and when we understand the balance (black holes in our comprehension), we will understand total destruction is inevitable. Resulting in Nothing. Then out of nowhere, a big bang.

When I think of this visually, I think of a triangle. The two bottom points then the centered higher one.

Symbolizing negative vrs. positive then balance between but higher up representing a hightened state of awareness

I don't necessarily agree with the lesser being.

if we were in a cave together and you started panicking and yelling id probably knock you out too.

btw
if you can kill a bird ,you can also capture it and keep it silent.

This scenario particularly bothers me.
How would you kill the bird anyway ?
if you have a gun, that will most definitely attract human head hunters , but it would also , scare off animals.

what im trying to say, is that the situations we find ourselves in are never really that simple and black ,white and gray.

what if i kill the bird and then get killed anyway ?
what if the bird attracts them and i go the other way (the bird wont follow me)
or what other way is there to go in a tunnel at all ?
in fact.. how are they not gonna find me in a tunnel unless i get out the other side of it ?

i usually like examples and these kind of posts that i can relate to by imagining a real life situation , but yours seems pretty vague in order for me to give an appropriate answer as to what i would do , and to be honest , i feel pretty limited by the options , regardless of the outcome , which you can of course put into one of these three categories if you wish.

This sounds like pseudo-philosophical nonsense.

The universe is full of examples of things without a counterpart. There is no such thing as cold and heat, that's an invention of your mind. There is only more heat and less heat.

There is more mass and less mass, there is no negative mass.

Even light, you misconstrue. There is more light and less light. There is no darkness. You can capture light, measure it, produce it through natural processes harnessed by technology, but you can't make darkness. There are no darkness bulbs you can put in a lamp to produce dark.

Hey Diploid,
Just wanted to say thanks for putting that in very clear terms.
Duality is a concept that comes up a lot, and being able to point to empirical reality is key for mutual understanding
You just provided a nice way to do that

The situation may be highly unlikely but it is still possible as anything is.

Well I got this example from a scene in a movie. His leg has been mutilated so he can not walk and he is being chased by some crazy bitch with a shovel in the woods. He sees a little cave, very narrow, and crawls in where there is a sleeping bird that he awakes. It begins squawking and his hunter is now aware of his location.

He can't capture it and keep it silent because he's not fast enough and it has a strong beak.

He doesn't have a gun to scare it away or kill his hunter with. He can't knock it out because it's too fragile and it will just die.

He has to kill it with his hands.

I meant cave*** not tunnel and you're just hoping that your hunter doesn't look in the cave.

I would say heat, light, mass are all just systems in the universe that have found balance. Though I have no clue.

What do you think about the situation I posted about the equality of sentient beings?

What about relativity?

That is, relative to me there is good and bad. There is not light or the absence of light, there is a sunburn, a scary dark ally, a peaceful nights sleep interrupted by a bright morning sun...

And so its the same with everything else, the world relates to us through our own paradigm of good and bad. In some abstract thought process where we ignore our relationship with the world, we can come to conclusions about things such as 'all sentient beings are equal', but when you are faced with reality, and say you are starving to death, you will eat the sentient beings before you die.
