Does that not extend (no pun) to no sex with underaged boys?

Why does the Roman Catholic Church hate gays when it employs so many?

The priestly system has such a funny style in the European/Christian flavor - but then again I havent really experienced much of any other tradition, but to my knowledge its not as machine like for other cultures ascetics, especially if you contrast the catholic style, but I guess I would have to investigate more to really vouch for this - I guess its all a human thing but you wonder what the priestly system in other cultures faults are like.

I guess people should be wary of anyone "ascetic" but that is willing to play such a role like that. But really shouldnt the hardcore ascetics just keep to their monasteries and such - interaction otherwise ends up in scandals and bullshit

Catholocism pretty much forces religious Catholic gays into priesthood. It's really the only option for a gay Catholic who wants to live a happy life in the church without rejection from family and peers.

As I understand it, the whole vow of celibacy thing grew out of trying to prevent church members from passing on land to their descendants. Since it has no real root in the Bible and really isn't glorifying the Christian God, it's probably something which should be done away with. I mean, having to commit to a system where you feel bad about the urge to masturbate just doesn't sound healthy, physically of mentally.
