Holy Smokes! Now that is a toad stool that could actually be used as a stool!

Get a spore print whatever it is. Is it edible?

I found a bolete like that once.. not quite as big as yours; about 23cm (9") in diameter at its widest. One of those finds where you look, rub your eyes, and say to yourself, "Holy smokes is that a mushroom!?"

Boletus michoacanus

On display at the 11th Annual Fungus Fair in Senguio, Michoacan, Mexico.  Aug 23.

This toxic, blue staining red pored bolete was over 12 inches in diameter.

Also there are a lot of big mushrooms in the largest mushroom you have ever found thread.

Those are huge!

Last year and this year I found two specimens of Berkeley's Polypore that were really big.
I called the first one a birdbath because of the depression in the middle of the cap (infundibuliform)  It and the one I found this year were roughly 43 cm (nearly 17 inches).  From the one I picked up I'd say they weighed about 10 pounds.  The medium sized leaf in the first photo is a huge Skunk Cabbage leaf.  You can see the dime in the second photo.

This species, Phlebopus marginatus is probably the largest bolete in the world. The largest one that I know of was 29 kilo and over a meter across!
