I went out today for the first time shroom hunting ever and whabamm man found a really good amount of liberty caps! They were growing in some good wood chips spread out over some grass right down the road from me. I recognized them right away from all the research I done first, then I took one home and did a spore print and it turned out a good purplish black. I went back and picked about 10 or so of em and they're dryin right now. There were dozens and dozens of very small ones in the same area that don't look nearly big enough yet but when they are there will be a shitload. I was just woundering, are there any poisinous mushrooms that look like libs and still have the purplish spores? I just wanna double check before I eat them. Thanks... man I'm lovin this already!!!

Ok I did a new spore print and yeah turned out a purplish almost black... the caps are parabolic I'd say and are an olive brown and dries to a tan to almost white. These are very small and grew from some chewed up bark and other wood debri. I've noticed no bluing at all. the stems are very skinny. I think I jumped to the wrong conclusions way too fast. Now that I've studied it more. I think I was way off... the stems do not match any of the pictures i've seen. I have the book "Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World" and I can't find a good match anywhere.
So anyway I went out shroom hunting again today and Now I'm absoutley sure I found some liberty caps... but not enough of them to do much. These were found on the outskirts of a horse field burried in some nice green grass all accept the top of the largest one. Everything fits perfectly to the description in my book. I'm pretty confident about that find. Now I only hope I can find more than just a handfull tomorrow. If anyone is up for showing a newbie the ropes I'd greatly appreciate it PM me. thanks for the help guys...
