What regions have the largest diversity of mushrooms(all)?

Of all the places Ive been Id say I found the largest abundance of mushrooms in Oregon and Washington.
What other regions of the world are known "mushroom meccas"?

Mexico? Brazil?

i'm in oregon and can second that. but ive been to thailand and there were multiple wild shrooms everywhere. by the way, i just took your poll, and what does STAL stand for???

I saw Amanitas, Reishis and cyans every 5 or so feet.

Naw, Im in the midwest. There arent nearly as many mushrooms here. Im also no expert, just an amateur/novice. I will be moving to the PNW with one of my main motivators being the abundance of tasty mushrooms. I ate my first mushroom that I found myself last year(I was always afraid my ID was off before then) and I've been hooked ever since.

Naturally you'll have the most fungal activity where you have the most biomass to be degraded and that's where the large forests are.

The rainforests seem to hold more than the dry forests.

Mushrooms like relative humidity near full saturation which you will find in rain forests most of the time.
