So what's the general consensus here? I haven't seen any of my patches fruiting more than just a few wimpy ones at a time for over a weak now.

Anyone seeing anything significant out there, bermuda or woodland?

mine died out completly for a while there now they are coming back at the fruits are more potent than ever

What are these?  I found these heading out of a parking lot today.  Not sure what my habitat was b/c I literally stopped in the road and grabbed them.




i'm waiting on a spore print, but they were pretty we and old looking.

lol  -  i was looking at my little book, thinking...  i have one of these milk cap mushrooms.  and apparently, i was right.  at least i'm getting quicker about my finds. 

i was pretty sure it wasn't what i was looking for, but the stain is something funky!

I see those all the time. I always thought they were indigos

those grow near weilii often.

That map should not be considered restrictive; they are found in a more expanded area than is colored.  Either they have spread or hunters have.

i read that they taste like pepper and you can tell if its edible if the milk doesnt change color

There is a area of pines that are mostly decaying, seems like a prime site for weilli but i'm curious. This area is about half an acre and i was wondering if weilli would have a chance of growing considering this area is pretty much isolated in a neighborhood. I wouldn't think weilli would travel to a secluded spot surrounded by houses

i wonder how spores get to some places once i actually find the mushrooms there sometimes. there is a possibility that there are weilii in that area, i would say with the information that you gave the best "deciding factor" would be how many of those trees are loblolly pines.

No...they're still fruiting. I normally don't see large clusters growing out of the grass but I saw some pretty impressive chucks of fruit. Spots are cycling...one flushes for a week or so if given rain, then stops. At that time, a different patch will start up. Takes a week or two, and the first patch will flush again. I'd like all hunters to keep an eye on this type of thing. Some spots flush in different areas of the same patch within a 2 week period, all at different times. Don't stop when you stop seeing them, go investigate. They'll be around. Sometimes they appear in a line and regress to the edge of the woods, you just have to look hard. Keep track of the flushes mentally and let us know if you find a pattern. :rolleyes:
