When you are hurt there are options to take
    #11207535 - 10/08/09 02:23 PM (8 years, 3 months ago)

A': I can be jaded/hurt and harbor resentment at the external (universe) for its incompatibility with my internal (desires),

or

'B': i can accept and take complete personal responsibility for myself and my situation, get a different perspective on what i want it to be and what it really is, and learn more about how things work so that i can come closer to living the life i want to and will one day deserve to live

'A' means being dependent on control beyond your own power...it means putting your emotional state out there to be dependent on the chaotic world we live in

'B' means accepting what i cannot control, and taking responsibility for what i can control...'B' means taking the proactive role in an existentialist philosophy...'B' means taking personal responsibility and controlling your will power (see incubus 'drive') instead of viewing your life as the result of external forces, which is a pretty hopeless perspective

'B' means leaving my old self behind to grow, but it also means leaving others that my 21-year-young self has grown attached to, which, having led a sheltered and pretty under-a-rock life, is scary for me

'B' means taking the wheel, taking every bad thing that happens to you and you using it for personal growth, instead of letting the bad use you for it to grow

Really like those sig quotes:thumbup:

"Don't believe everything you think". -Anom.

" All that lives was born to die"-Anom.

With much wisdom comes much sorrow,
The more knowledge, the more grief.
Ecclesiastes circa 350 BC

"Battle not with monsters, lest ye become a monster, and if you gaze into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you."

If you do take option 'A', you will end up becoming as cruel as the world that hurt you in the first place

Remember that the difference between internal and external in this sense is not there at all.:otd:
