I just got finished reading the book "The Mayan Prophecies" by Adrian Gilbert and Maurice Cotterell.....and it totally blew my mind. It talks alot about early american civilizations, their amazing calander, knowledge of astronomy, and possible links to atlantis. Has anyone else read it? If not, I really suggest you do....some of it is just amazing.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

this is going to be very similar to that "IT" thing they revealed a while back. A lot of build-up and then something really anti-climactic, like a bunch of crazy people killing themselves in a motel or some bullshit.

No, it most likely won't be the end of all life nor is it anything like the y2k crap. The Maya believed we are living in the 5th age, which according to their calander ends in 2012. The previous 4 ages each ended with a cataclysmic catastrophe, but man was able to survive. The book talks alot about the sun, and the sunspot cycles which it seems the ancient americans had an amazing knowledge of. I'm really bad at explaining this.....you all should read the book.

Strumpling is a word I made up a long time ago because all the names I was trying to AOL long ago were already taken.

I took the British word "Strumpet" which means prostitute, and morphed it to Strumpling, an unofficial word, which hasn't failed me yet :smile:

We'll see.  This knowledge will not change my life (at least up till that date) in any way.  The end of physical reality sounds fun.  It'll be a blast  :cool:

Shroomism i think after 2012 we would have material things, but we just won't be greedy. I think humans must have some material things!
