Are you willing to work for your ideals?

If you are willing to work hard for your rights to such a lifestyle, then it is possible.

If you want sloth and laziness first and foremost, you're simply doomed. You won't be able to attain the carefree lifestyle you desire without putting in SOME kind of work, whether that be working for money and the man, or working on your sense of self worth and using your hands to manifest what you want to see.

If you're willing to work to attain the lifestyle you desire, it is possible.

However, if you are so lazy that you just have this "pipe dream" and no intention or plan to get yourself there from where you are now, you're fucking screwed.

The above drawing is the symbol of an idealist party who (among less serious things) correctly argues that there is plenty of wealth going around to give every citizen (first of their country, then the world) a basic income they can live off, and those who feel the calling can work to earn more. It can actually be done, but needless to say all powers that be are against it.

I just don't understand how sitting around all day, doing absolutely nothing each and every day is in any way gratifying.

You guys would really be happy sitting around your house in the same neighborhood, in the same house, with the same people smoking pot for 80+ years until you are dead?

I am skinny and muscular actually.  I go on bike rides and work out.  If I had a career I probably would not have time to be as physically fit as I am.

You are already successful. Remember that. You want to sit around, smoke some sticky ganja, and watch the day go by.
You are doing a great job of that.

Now, realize what you are doing well at. What else do you enjoy doing?
You won't get your ideal life passively. If that is what you want, then go get it.

Perhaps you feel slightly guilty about what you are doing with your life and slightly guilty of your ideal life in the future. If thats what you want, then embrace it! If you think there is more to life than that, then find it and embrace that too. You will be living an ideal life at that point.

Oh by the way: I am on disability welfare (multiple serious physical and mental handicaps) so in a way I live that life of permanent vacation.

I cant do SHIT, money wise and handicaps wise, but I re-aligned myself to not wanting more than a simple life.

I can tell you, its challenging in its own way to be the sole architect of your life. School and work does cater to a fundamental need humans have.

I give it a decade at most, then he'll probably get himself a job.
