I have a confession: I don't want to do anything with my life

I just want to sit around, smoke some sticky ganja, and watch the day go by. I don't want to work for anyone. I've always felt this way, even as a kid. When I was asked what I wanted to do in elementary school, I said I wanted to be retired. I just don't see the point in working, especially for someone else, and especially for the IRS, which for some reason gets 30% of your profits but none of your losses.

My ideal life would be building up a nice home, cultivating a really nice fish tank, and smoking some of the dopest dank. Maybe eating some san pedro with my child(ren) when they mature into an adult and share with them how the world really is.

You sound like you are depressed.  I remember when i was depressed i couldn't even get out of bed, the mental fatigue.  I didn't want to do anything except blaze and doing nothing.

Now i have motivation to do stuff because it feels good accomplishing goals, i know that sounds like grade school guidance counselor, but it does :shrug:

I find, you cant save everyone. The best you can get out of life is, Find your corner of the world, take care of some homes/people/things, do atleast one thing no one else has done before, and look back on it all fondly.

thats what i do and the only way to do this is a job...
toughen up and do it, you can have lots of fun in the process

building a home...that's a lot of work.  growing herb and shit...that's work.  raising children...that's work

I feel you man.  I don't understand these Type A personality/need to have all kinds of shit going on kind of people.

My ideal day is waking up at noon, puttering around the house, going for a bike ride, tending to my garden and orchard out in my back yard, chilling on the back porch with a beer and my girl, and then watching a movie and calling it a day. 

I'm not depressed at all.  I just like to take it easy.  :shrug:

I have that same quality... I work hard for what I love, but if I'm not emotionally motivated to do something I physically can't. When working for someone else I will always slack off, try to do as little work as possible, and waste as much time as I can.

I hate the system, and I work as little as possible.  I don't have kids because I know how much I would have to sell my soul and give everything to the system because it's set up that way.  Obey the laws, pay your taxes, and work, work, work. :5moreminutes:

The whiners will be packed and loaded, free of probation, working for themselves and many they actually know and give a shit about, they will relish not having the pollution, the cancers, the debt, and will find a way of life that some of the lesser Native Americans kept but was conquored by a "superior" culture. :money:

I don't think anyone wants to do something with their life. I don't. Life is short as it is. Work days are pretty much non-existential parts of your life since you work for 8 hours, then you spend an hour or so just driving to and from work, and the remainder of the day is wasted cooking and eating and getting ready to go to work the next day. Basically you only get two days of the week to do anything and you usually have to waste your freetime doing chores and what not. When you look at the grand scheme of things, you only get to truly live a free life two days a week (weekend) which equates to about 96 days a year, and about 7,960 days in a lifetime. That means you only get to truly live for 21 years rather than 80. What's the point in living your life like that? FUCK THAT!!! I'm finding my own path and it's not going to be anything like the average citizen.
