This type of ordeal scares me. Not only that they are poisonous but simply the fact that someones life may be worth $20 to some asshole who found some mushrooms on his neighbors lawn. My friend had this happen and made me come take a look. They were just store bought dried packaged Chantrelles but its still messed up.

We dont know if they are poisonous or not....
I doubt it comes down to someone valuing anothers life at $20.

they kinda look like dried matsutake (Pine mushrooms) I have sitting in a jar in the cupboard, I'll post a pic later.

Thanks everyone for all their input.  definitely learned my lesson.  At least I am getting a full refund from the fucker who sold these to me, after a few minor threats.  You think you know someone, ya know?  Go with your spider senses, not what a self-proclaimed guru tells you...

Ive had people bring mushrooms to me they bought from someone at their high school, they said the kid picked them in the forest behind the school, and they were fresh Galerina

I also watched some kid pick random mushrooms and sell them to this little kid (like 12? 13?)


people do some fucked up shit for money, be it mostly the younger crowd, but shit man anythings possible some 14yr old could have found a bunch of these in the woods and sold em bulk to his friends older brother and so on.

also, theres been news articles about people receiving deadly mushrooms in california from dealers.

hes in southern california.
