Im socially akward. Ive got maybe 2 friends who are far more socially akward than myself though.

My friend Mike is the worst. He doesnt pick up well on verbal or non verbal ques, tries to talk when you are talking, always talks too loud or too softly, bumps into people when he's walking next to them, cant shit in public restrooms, etc, etc, etc.

Yes.  Wouldn't it stand to reason?  People who are adept at social interaction don't spend a lot of time at Internet message boards.  They have real friends in the outside world.  I'm not saying you can't have fun at a Gathering, but you won't get any degree of high level connection.  You sit around the campfire and smoke or trip.  Conversation isn't key.

I live in my own world a lot of the time, can't deny that.

I can be socially awkward every now and then, but this past week I have learnt to not give a shit and understand that people are people.
