well if you didnt cover the holes theres an entry way for contams
contams can make their way thru the inoculation hole and into your jar

how do you have your lids set up?

granted milipore tape is cheap cheap cheap compared to all the trouble of making jars and having to clean them later.  good luck though but to be honest.  as far as the spawn and sterility part of this hobby.  There is no cutting corners

tyvek,and metal lids.4 holes in each.maybe ill just tyvek overtop of them again when i make my next batch...ill stab holes through..then put a new layer of tyvek, then put lid back on?

what you could do if you have the costly item Masking tape.  Make a lid with some holes in it.  Then inoculate through one hole against the glass or however you see fit.  then wipe the masking tape with another costly item.  Rubbing alcohol.  stick that over your injection site.  should be good to go as cheap as it gets.

i do my lids like this

1/4 inch hole for gas exchange
covered in tyvek,held on by micropore tape
1/8h hole filled with silicone for an injection port
works like a charm

well that was where you made the mistake of assuming.  some people think they can eat a vegan diet and grow mushies on their own shit to save money on sub costs.

its best if you want help right the first time.  you give all the information and steps you have taken towards proper technique.  Otherwise people will give advice and that is unnecessary or completely wrong do to facts left out by the original poster. 

again most of this stuff is readily available by using the search option.  If your asking questions you cannot find using the search and no one is answering them.  Then they are probably there you just need to look harder.  Not always as I ask q's sometimes that get ignored when its clearly not a newb q and who answers...???

man I would not worry about that just yet.  I had some jars that I shook but were not as full as yours.  they were covered in blue/green which is what that looks like crap.  Its probably mycelial bruising.  It would be pretty hard for green to set in at this point.  It usually takes over first

or it is probably now that I think of it.  a sunflower seed with mycelium growing on it.  changing the color your seeing.

Not throwing it out just yet...but its defininetly bright green, you cant tell in the pic as much as you can by just looking at the jar...the flash killed the picture. If it starts lookin bad ill throw it out.

you don't.

there is no need to incubate.
room temperature, on a shelf or whatever.
incubating will cause more problems than it's worth.
unless your house is less than 65-68 degrees, incubation
is in no way needed.
