Ok I have a house I am working in that has carpet everywhere. Ideally you would just rip the carpet out, but its not my house so I am gonna fix that. Its also heavy but portable so I can take the sheets to the next place of residence.
This is the room I am growing in
these are readily available stick down tiles for a kitchen or bathroom floor. pick them up at any hardware store really.
4x8 sheets of masonite. You know the pegboard stuff without the holes.
Now apply the stick down tiles on the smooth side of the masonite. Just get your first tile on there straight and the rest is golden.
Here is a completed peice of masonite. They are a little heavy but can be slid around into position.
Here is the grow room with its new floor ready to be put back together

Yeah your crazy. Those sheets are bulky and heavy. I will need another person to help me pick them up when I move. I am going to start a growlog soon but I need to get more stuff together. I am starting 9 qt jars and 8 spawn bags tomorrow so Ill have plenty of spawn.

I am renting a house and it is the spare bedroom. The temp floor was 24$ + tax for the masonite and .40$ a tile so 96 sq ft... about 60$ bucks.
I will do a growlog and shoot photos of my whole setup. I actually have the whole basement full of stuff too haha

Nice!!
I just laid a new vinyl floor and did a 2 coat paint job.
Did you seal off the window??
I'm gonna frame mine in 2X2's and sheet insulation and then caulk it in place.

I like a controlled environment.
The window can also add a lot of heat to a room - that and some folks might have nosy neighbors.

I took some foam insulation sheets and put them in the window on the inside so it looks like mini blinds on the outside and it lets in a little light. I have central heat and air but sometimes window units are nice for cold shocking.
