Admittedly, I haven't researched this topic too much, however, for some reason while I was laying in bed a thought occurred to me.

Technology is speeding forward. Extremely quickly.
What if 2012 is the point at which 'the matrix' is created.
To dive deeper...
If we're currently in a matrix, at that point our current sense of where/what we are will shift. Or perhaps simply a reset.

All the prophecies are nothing more than programming reminders that hey, 2012 is the point at which the script runs out.

I'm still no farther in my understanding.
If everything has an apex, is there anything eternal?
If we're shifting, when did the shift begin, and why was it started?

the only thing that is eternal is change. and according to various sources they say the shifted started in the late 80's, i dont know that. It's all about cycles though. and asking why is a trap. never ask why, ask how. You should look into this more, asking people about will get you nowhere b/c this as every other experience in life is completely subjective.

I have my own beliefs of 2012 which I have yet to state. What I stated was a thought that drifted through in the night.
I also have my own views of a singularity.

What I don't have is your views. That is why I ask.

I have to agree, although I'm not sure about a reset.

But if you look at a technological time line, we are learning and developing new technologies at an exponentially increasing rate. I've heard some talk that the intervals between discoveries will become less and less as we approach 2012.

By the time 2012 comes we will be discovering and learning at an alarming rate!

As for what actually happens at this point, I can not say for sure although I have hopes. I hope that there will be a shift in consciousness felt by all beings so that we can move forward with understanding and manifesting our reality. I hope that we can get rid of such things as greed, war, and poverty. I hope that we can finally live in a world of peace.

But I can not say for sure, so I will just keep hoping!

The world is changing drastically just look around. Time is speeding up towards something. I think humanity will be better off after 2012, I think we will wake up and realize we create the world we live in - and we can create heaven on earth.

here is my opinion. You work on yourself spiritually and when you get to where you need to be, every action in your life will have purpose. It's all about being positive and spreading it, in hopes we can undo the damage that has been done to us.

Honestly.. you havent really posed a question.
This  has been the topic of discussion for thousands of years. So many theories.. so many assumptions.. so many different teachings.
To share my view with precision i would have to write a post so long that you would decide not to read , probably like you decided to ask here instead of do your own research :smile:
I am happy that  more and more people are showing interest though.. so the best i can do is comment on your original post.

Technology is speeding forward.. but not for long. Soon enough we will have no electrical power throughout the entire planet.
The matrix has already been created.. but relating it to the movie in a literal sense will only confuse you more IMO. It is not a technological "matrix". At least not what we call technology.
Now.. for me to confuse you a bit .. we are technology.. everything is a design.
The matrix can be described in many ways.. but i guess the best way would be to say that we are running under a pretty hypnotizing frequency. (look up cymatics)
This is why people refer to "raising your vibration". Only when you elevate your vibratory state are you able to see past this matrix so to speak.. and the matrix is that of physical matter.
The wall behind your pc monitor looks solid , and motionless.. 
It is the frequency that runs through our "reality" which makes it look so.
.. it is an illusion. There is no wall or you.. nor is there space between you.. its all a big mess of atoms and molecules flying around. Once you run a vibration through this field.. it makes form. The forms we are experiencing are illusory.
This is why we usually dont see thousands of ghosts everywhere we look.. they operate under a different frequency.. and so do higher dimensional beings. The frequencies vary.
2012 is supposed to represent a shift from the 3rd density/dimension to the 4th.
At least this is the transition our planet is experiencing for itself as a sentient being. We are just following.
The 4th density is the density of love , thus is operates under the vibrations of love. Higher frequency...
Another way to look at this "matrix" .. although i would not relate it to my previous example being that the following is  not a result of negative extra-terrestrial influence.
There are certain veils the galaxy has designed as a learning tool.. (a motivation booster)
between the conscious and subconscious mind.
between the mind and the body.
As we approach this ,so talked about  year.. the veils slowly diminish , and higher vibrations start coming through.. or maybe its better to say that they become more noticable :smile:

The first time i heard about this topic.. i thought a comet was coming toward us .. and that we need to learn telekinesis in order to stop the impact with our minds. :foreheadslap:

so..
Do your research :smile: Read it all.. listen to it all.. and then put it all together into something that makes sense for you.

And then.. feel ..

Thats the only way it will truly make any sense at all :smile:
