Why pot will NOT be legalized in Cali

Did anyone watch Obama on TV last night? All of the politicians were old ass dinosaurs. There wasnt one dude under 65 there. Everyone of those guys think drugs are the devil. There will be no changing their minds, its how they were raised.

Point 2, obama is still new to the job and would never take the risk of such a drastic and "never been done" change. He is still having a hard time getting republicans to agree with the stimulus package. If he wants to legalize and still remain popular with the moms and grandmoms who swear drugs off as the worst thing since Satan, then he will have to prove himself by rescuing our country from the economic crisis first, and with flying colors too.

I'm thinking that for a change this big, there will be a HUGE fucking debate in our country. This will NOT be easy to pass, at all. There will be protests the size of Jupiter led by parents claiming obama is turning our country into a crackhouse. It will be fucking insane. Obama needs to win EVERYONE over by saving the Economy and get voted into his second term by a fucking landslide before any kind of legalization is even considered.

It sucks, but there are to many brainwashed, religous, do gooders out there to have this thing pass, at least until our generation are the old farts in congress.

The federal government won't likely reschedule it until all/most of the states legalize it i bet which will take time..  California would be a step in the right direction though

Well, when grandmas and grandpas in Cali stop getting their states assistance and unemployment reaches 15+ percent, things will be a a little more pliable.

it's cool i see legalization in my lifetime I'm 18.  When im an old timer and my generation is running game their will be legalization.

I don't think you see the whole picture, from start to finish. The generation that STARTED this whole thing is gaining ground.

The bottom line is that 90% of his crap would change more quickly if young/poor/minority people would vote, but as a whole they don't so the power play can continue.

o well I voted in this election, most of my friends did actually ALL did besides the one that is a skeptic to the point of complete paranoia but im glad he doesnt vote, i dont want his opinion because it has no foundation.

This is not an Obama issue, it's a California state issue. But for the record, when Obama met with Arnold (or whichever politician he spoke to), he said he did not think it was a good idea. But regardless, it probably won't happen and if it did the federal government could still prosecute people. Good luck arresting an entire state though.

Anyways, this is perfect news for a site like this and should be talked about until its a dead horse. Getting annoyed at threads regarding this subject is like joining Flickr then getting annoyed when people post pictures of their vacation.
