yeah, i have heard tales of there being lots of tweakers in the area as well; but humboldt is definately the nicest part of cali (aside from the modoc nat. forest area)

gross generalizaion: the cops are pretty cool up there (we got in a fender bender while camping up there, and the cop was super friendly to us and the people who crashed into us, who were in fact drunk
