For those who have been to rehab
    #9843310 -

Either in patient or out patient, makes no difference.

Did you guys get anything positive out of it? I mean personally, I sobered up while I was there, I was being drug tested after all. I'll definitely admit I learned a few things about various substances I didn't know, but that came mainly from talking to other people who were there, not from the bullshit they "taught" us. What I did learn though is fuck MJ (well... while youre being watched that is) cuz that shit lasts for a long time in your system. Not to mention, other drugs get you higher (depends, and in different ways) and they are out of your system faster. Rehab turns mild druggies into real druggies.

This is not to say that it doesn't help some, because it definitely does. I have witnessed it. But I've also witnessed it turn just pot smokers into bigger druggies. They meet new people, who have access to these things, and are also cool people sometimes.

I didn't really get anything out of it, except an increased sense of resentment for the system.  I knew more about pot than the drug counselor did, and I felt like I was just being indoctrinated, after having my spirit broken by being forced to share feelings in group, and admit over and over that I was an addict and needed help.  I wasn't, and I didn't.  I ended up cheating on my piss tests through probation, smoking and using drugs daily for the next 2-3 years, then eventually quit everything on my own because I was just bored of getting high, and kind of over it.

Never went, but most the people I know just learned more about drugs and started doing harder drugs.

The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to selfishness;
From selfishness to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage.

Yeah, that's about all I got out of rehab, other than keeping my brown-eye virginity by agreeing to go there instead of prison.

It did help me kick my opiate and cocaine problems though and now I know to stay away from basically all addictive drugs.

Dr :ronpaul: says to stop trying to treat the side-effects of big government and focus on the core issues. End the Federal Reserve/audit the gold reserves at Fort Knox, abolish the IRS, end all wars and occupancies, stop the building of an empire that will inevitably fail, and cut all unconstitutional federal programs. Put the power back in the peoples' hands by ending this nanny-state.

i knew a lot about drugs b4 going to a 2-months stay @ 12 oaks.

learned a lot about triggers & how to be clean if i want to be; unfortunately, i didnt want to...but i know a lot of the measurements that need to be taken if i were to want to 100% stop illegal drugs (not gonna happen).

the detox is what i mainly needed & it got me onto Suboxone instead of a needle filled w/ fentanyl: nice trade if ya ask me~

you have to want to goto rehab for it to work.

And rehab helped keep me clean for 3 years.

And has helped me moderate my drug use since ive started doing shit again.

If anything, in patient is worthwhile if you really want to kick something, because it gives you a pretty good environment to sit down and understand the causes for your addictions.

I learned that group share time was fun. It was pretty much just a bunch of people that got caught with something, and they were ordered to take classes by a judge. I got caught with weed a year before that, and by the time i took the class i didn't do anything. Everyone just talked about parties and doing drugs. One guy kept comming in all fucked up on acid and no one knew but me lol. I had to take a AA class for some reason to, and i learned that other than sitting in a room with desperate drunks, that AA was JUST like a cult.

I recently just got kicked out of my 3rd inpatient, I am 21. My first one was 8 months at a boarding school type place... I was 17 and all I got out of that one was a strong desire to experiment with all the drugs I hadn't tried yet. My second one, I didn't get anything out of this either, probably because I didn't want to go in the first place, I was doing it to look better when I had to go to court. The third and most recent ended about a month ago... I actually did pick up some stuff from this one and I give that to the fact that I wanted to go this time. I rediscovered why I abuse drugs like I do and some other stuff I cant recall right now (my brain feels fried). There were a lot of people that I absolutely could not stand at this facility, and I found myself quite aggitated oftenly (is that even a word haha). Umm... so if your thinking about going to rehab, it can definately be a good experience although I personally dont entirely agree with the philosophy of NA, if you are trying to stay completely clean it definately can and will work. I went into this treatment for meth, and I know I can't handle alcohol, which I have been doing lately, but I will never stop weed and mushrooms... They are like my religion. It's just unfortunate I don't have any means of getting weed yet, although I have gotten stoned a few times since I got outta rehab. Meth is bad!

i love you

you are beautiful! :rockon:
