Mushroom growth patterns

Puerto Ricans growing in a PF tek casing. Started growing fine except for more growth near edge of tray (sign of dryness correct). After mushrooms were about 1.5 inches tall 3-4 of them started to look funky. They got bulges in them in one spot near cap. The closest I can get is to say they look like a snake swallowing a rat. Immediately above this bulge the caps began to slump over and grow kinda sideways. 1 is almost growing straight down (looks like a sheperds crook stick). Also they are growing kind of slow been almost 2 weeks since pins and now they are only 2 inches on the largest ones. Today I noticed that I can see faint blue in the stems and it is a lil darker in the bulges of those mushrooms. Any thoughts, answers, advice. Just wanna know if they sometimes grow weird or if mine are super-powered mutants. Most of the Pics are perfect straight mushrooms so I couldn't get any frame of reference. Thanks.

If you have let your mushrooms grow for two weeks, sounds as if they are over mature. when the veil breaks is a good time to pick them. The faster that you pick them, the faster your second flush will come through. Growth does not sound to unusual, probably not mutants. Might have some thing to do with air exchange, or your humidity.

sounds like it might be verticillium mold. It it isn't toxic, but it will decrease your yields a lot. Just a guess based on the symptoms you described. hope all goes better

I think the slow growth is my fault. took over 8 weeks to colonize the jars. I am very new so this was my first. My second batch is almost ready to case (most of batch) and it has only been 5 weeks. So I think I just fucked something up. And the veil isn't open on these. Most of the pins are only half inch to an inch. A few are 1-2 inches. So I don't think they are ready to pick yet. I'll have to try and gets some pice posted. I emailed a friend to come help me. I am a compumoron. I'll keep you all updated. Thanks

I had overmature PB's w/ the veil still on em. Cap was about to turn up so I plucked anyway. Only took 2 days to overmature though, 2 weeks is odd. Must be some BIG mushies.
A Raccoon told me to just remove the veil w/ steryle insturments. Should B fine. That is for future reference. THIS sounds like a whole other problem.

Mutant mushies is my guess . Were you carefull to not have to much exposure to cleaning chems ? Heavily chlorinated water in your area ? Grow chamber have cleaning chemical odors at start up ? Let lysol completly settle before opening chamber ? (15 min) But could also be some sort of virus . Better luck next time

I hate sporeworks =P They WILL give u another needle if ya tell em what happened though. I had simmalar problems w/ them. More along the lines on NO germination, not huge deformed mycelin mushies. Now that I think about it, I did get a mutation strain of messie from them. Put out major flushes though. But that might just have been the work on my part.
Get your shit together SPOREWORKS!

It is posted under the contamination forum. I haven't gotten any replies yet. No one likes me. On the second casing I made from the same batch, I had no growth after 2 weeks and it smelled like oranges. This is all from the same syringe. I have 2 jars left of this batch and I am preparing to case them soon. If they are fucked up then I will def. contact sporeworks. But I want to be sure that it is the syringe and not me. The contamination thread is titled Smells like Oranges if you want to check it out. I haven't gotten any replies except one guess.
