MARTHA question (new question)
    #9598705 -

Hey guys. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have had success with cakes and monotubs in the past, and am ready to go bigger.
This is my greenhouse...

Now, all I have (and can afford) is a coolmist. After searching through the threads, I have read that I CAN use only this, but I will have to set it on the bottom shelf. I have also read that I will need to put some peroxide in the water reservoir, and also that I will need something to catch the water under the setup. My main question is, how do you keep good FAE when the coolmist is on the inside and on the bottom (where the CO2 is)? Will I have to make holes and stuff with polyfil? Or would having an open bottom negate that?

Try placing the humidifier outside the martha, and plumbing the fresh air into the greenhouse. If the bottom of your green house is open, try to semi-seal it somehow. This will give you the FAE, while keeping humidity high.  http://www.shroomery.org/9189/Automated-Greenhouse-Guide-By-Helltick

This tek would work well even with a cool mist. It will just have to run more.(maybe constantly)

Well, I should have addressed this more elaborately in my original post. I AM BROKE, lol. After buying substrate, spores, jars. etc... I have spent this months free money and maybe some of next months as well hehe. I dont mind it if I have to run it constantly, and prolly have the stuff to rig another reservoir to it.

I'm pretty stoned too. Something called "Purple Thunder Fuck"
I have never had a Martha of my own, but I have setup a few in my time, we always kept our cool mist and ultra sonic humidifiers on top thinking that the moisture fell and this was also our fresh air exchanger due to the convection effect of the falling heavier moist air, and this drew fresh air in the through the top. I think thats the effect you want with a martha.

If your greenhouse looks like the image you posted, the bottom touches the floor. It's not an air-tight seal, but it will hold in moisture just fine like that. CO2 should escape just fine. You might put a tray of some sort beneath it though, depending on what type of floor you have. Condensation will be running down the sides and get your floor all wet.

Dude, close up the bottom of your green house by wrapping plastic sheets painters use around the bottom of it. Throw a tarp under there to catch water. Set your coolmist inside so your coolmist doesnt die from being stressed out by plumbing, and mist with a good pesticide pump or hand sprayer (filled with water) from walmart or somewhere else twice a day or maybe more to raise humidity til you get an ultrasonic. And yes, cut small holes in the sides with pocket knife and stuff firmly with polyfill. Get a hygrometer that is analog, NOT ELECTRIC and place inside to view your relative humidity.

BAM, works better than SORBEE towels or mighty putty. Just fucking with you, brah. :gethigh:

Down here, we really dont have strain names. My buddy gave me this joint and it should never had been rolled to begin with, but I lost the only piece I have left. The damn joint clogged with resin and I have smoked maybe only half of it. Ooops, Im rambling...

Im thinking about maybe installing a fish tank heater in my coolmist, to cut out condensation. Any thoughts?

whats the point?

there is an edit function for your own posts.  use that instead of making multiple back to back posts.

that certainly shouldnt be 4 posts.

Thank you HC, Ive seen many setups like that. As stated earlier in my thread, I dont have the money or materials for PVC and a Ultrasonic. Im working on a time limit, which is why Im going ahead with the coolmist.

You can use just a coolmist and add a US when you get one . All the PVC to do that was under $10:thumbup:

So was that setup using a coolmist only? And only $10? Wow, I might have to retract my statement, lol.

I started with just a CM and later added a US.
PVC is very cheap and you don't need to glue it together as it wouldn't be under any pressure .
I think a 10 foot piece of PVC is about $4 depending on diameter.
