Quickie concerning Inner Reservoir tek....

Tonight I'll be birthing my Allen jars into the terrarium. I've prepared them according to JK's Inner Reservoir Tek: http://www.fanaticus.com/resevoir.htm I have one unanswered question:
I'm supposed to inject 10 cc's of water into the reservoir, I'm not sure how far I should stick the syringe in the cake though....does it matter? I don't want to hurt the cakes...

you wont hurt the cakes, Roadkill used to inject his cakes with 2ccs of water i think every other day when he was doing cakes. i think he still is if he still does cakes, you will cause no harm to your cake. follow proper steriliztion methods, yada yada yada...

Off the subject of your post, but you're in for a good suprize. Those Allen's fruit like crazy. I have two casings right now flushing with them, and the tops of the mushrooms block the view of the casing because there's so many, and they haven't even matured yet. I definitely like this strain....sorry to interupt your post, but I thought I'd give good news

Hehe.....thanks Finn
And, Ethno, you're getting me excited. I've already noticed that the rhizos are some of the thickest I've seen so far while incubating....

Yup...I had strands that reached almost an inch and a half across. One of my jars only took at one of the inoc points, and finished colonization right along side the others. Very fast, very thick growth. Let me know how your fruiting goes.

I'm in the inncubation stage, I have 5 jar's of F+ and of hawaiin.....I have a bad feeling that there's not enough moisture in there, I could be just paranoid cuz it's my first time, but If need be, is it possible to inject a couple cc's of water into those jars????

When you shake the jars does everything move around real easy or does it just move in one solid mass...as long as the brf/verm isn't moving while tipping the jar upside down it's probably fine.
Do you have germination yet?

I'll check when I get home.....That make's sense thank's....oh if it does move around, which would mean it's dry, it's still cool to "re-hydrate" hey? Shoot it up with some sterile water.....mainline styles....

No....I injected 10cc to 20cc in each cake at birth...then 10cc in each cake every other day after birth. I don't grow cakes anymore. I was crowned Cake King by Joshua and retired from doing cakes. I only do horse poo and straw casings now. And horse poo is much better than straw IMHO.

Here were my results with cakes. You tell me if they look good. My average was 8 dry grams per cake each flush.
Acadian Coast cakes that were injected with water.

Thanks bro!
I haven't done cakes in 6 months...moved on to casings. I'm thinking of starting some tonight just for the fuk of it. Think I'll do some Cambodian's and Orissa India's.
I'll pull the old hydra-pod out and get it going again too. Just for shits and giggles.
