Liberty Caps?
    #945153 -

I dont see any nub on the top of the cap and they have pretty thin stems so I dont think they are lib caps but im just checking.
Found in grass field near a bunch of bushes (no cows grazing here, only dogs)
Found in bellingham, 2 hours north of Seattle
They were in clusters of about 10
Maybe 100 yards away there was some horse trails
Also, do libety caps always blue, these ones havent yet.

Again sorry about the picture quality, I just like the challenge all you mycologists...

I am taking a spore print right now.

no sirreee bob.
look for thicker stems, as you said.
the gills are too pale.
psilos and pans will have darker gills, as their spores are dark (purply brown and black-brown to black, respectively)
it seems that the confusion over the term "grass" entices people to get overly excited about their finds.
look at pics of finds posted here at this site, do some searches and look at the grass, where it's possible.
sage grass seems good.
not just your run of the mill grass.
also, it's about really old manure.
sheep, cow, goat, horse, elk. from 5-7 years ago.
around these old decayed piles of dung will be tufts of healthier grass.
it seems libbs prefer these.
hope i helped.
good luck
