Why not give to the poor without stealing?

Welcome evermore to gods and men is the self-helping man.  For him all doors are flung wide: him all tongues greet, all honors crown, all eyes follow with desire.  Our love goes out to him and embraces him, because he did not need it.

What if I steal from the rich and give to the poor?

Only acceptable if your willing to wear tights.

That's it then. Cancel the kitchen scraps for lepers and orphans, no more merciful beheadings, and call off Christmas.

whose the real thief: the man who shoplifts that which he cannot afford? or the man who exploits others and sells a product which costs 10 cents to make and sells it at an enormous profit?

And that's why it's ok to steal. We gotta right the wrongs. It all works out man, yin and yang. Keep up the good word guys.

The yin to that yang (fucking lame analogy) would be to give your own things away, not to steal from someone else. Stealing more would continue the cycle rather than balancing it.

nope, it's a cycle, kinda like how ram dass said "cops create hippies, hippies create cops" same thing.

Well I was mostly being sarcastic, guess I thought it'd be easier to pick up on . Wasn't totally joking though, I do feel there's some truth to that statement.

Do I need to make a flow chart for you? Stealing is not inverse form of stealing; giving is.

Two wrongs make a right?  Is that really your argument?

Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.

no stealing is not inverse from stealing, i didn't say that, nor did the quote, what i said was that stealing leads to stealing.

Spoken for the truth. I rarely steal ever, haven't done so in years. However, if it weren't for the fear of getting caught I'd be doing so alot more. If the corporations actually seemed to somewhat care about the consumer then I would take pride in purchasing from their store. There's many stores of which I do, probably all small, local mom and pop shops though, but you get the point here.

edit: Same thing applies to videogames for me because I don't fear getting caught. I'll buy good games, but like hell if I'll pay money for anything published by EA to name an example. I'll torrent the shit out of that though.

2 wrongs don't make a right. However 1 wrong doesn't make a right either, but at least 2 makes you feel better.

word. there's no such thing as sympathy for people anymore in that sense, everybody's stepping on each others toes to get to the front of the line.
