Willpower is winning the battle for me right now, going 8 days strong. Goal date of returning to pot: December 26th, when OTT plays a live late night set and I will certainly be in attendance.

There is one qualifier - if a cute girl wants me to smoke with her, I won't say no. :wink:

I'm all over the place with my marijuana use right now.  I haven't gotten high in about two days - mostly because I don't have herb, can't get herb, can't afford herb.  If I could get it, I would be using it to help myself deal.  Though I am okay with life without it - due to taking long breaks, I know life is better without it once you're in the swing with things.  I can feel my body/being so much better when I'm not high.  I have so much more drive. 

My pattern with MJ - is that I go a period of time without using it at all - then I have a period of time where I use it everyday.  What gets me to stop again is usually noticing my quality of life start to diminish - and it freaks me out and so I quit for awhile again.  However if my sober life is crazy - MJ can certainly help me "cope." 

I feel like MJ is SOOO much better when it's spaced out - the longer the better. 

From where I'm sitting now, I feel like I'm destined to be one of those "only when it's around" tokers.  Yesterday, I really really wanted to buy a sack, but now I'm thinking I'll just smoke it if it's offered to me.  It feels nicer that way - more of a treat. 

Guys who want to quit - go on a break - whatever - don't beat yourself up if you're not "there" yet.  You'll get there.  The journey of letting go is part of the process.

I'm always puzzled by the people who get addicted to weed.  With me, it's a take-it or leave-it thing... I can be fine going months without smoking, but I'll be just as fine blazing up half an ounce with a good friend over the course of a day.

Now cigarettes or the Shroomery, on the other hand...  So far I've consistently managed to have a day's break in between a cig, but abstaining for any longer duration has been difficult.

I love herb. And it loves me. But I get to a point where it makes me feel pathetic to do it all the time, not that the usage really effects my life as I'm actually really productive, but I just don't like that voice that says

"Smoke me, vape me, eat me"  :bonghit::volcano::bouncysmoke: 25 hours a day.

I'll be clean for a year on the 1st, and I look forward to many years clean. I figure it's been a good 11 year run, and a decade or so break should have me feeling fresh for my 40's. :grin:
