Alright, so just this past week i ran the 10K which is 6.2 miles. Ive never raced before but when i was in highschool i was a good runner when i had to do it in gym class. anyway this past year i started running a bit more and its become more of a passion. so regardless of never running near as far or as fast as whats involved to do well in a 10K I did it and actually did very well. I did it in 47 minutes, with pants on
Anyway, the problem that comes into play not involving the injury that followed is that the timing device that they gave me to wear for the race i did not wear. It was in an envelope in a bag along with the complimentary shirt and keychain and crap. when i asked the girl at the front what i needed for the race before i begun she just said to pin the race number on my shirt and meet at the start of the race. so i did so.. ran the entire race and then i finish i find out that my time wasnt scored because i wasnt wearing that device. so its like i didnt even expect to do well and i did and i was happy and then it was like BAM i was just real depressed because that was my first race ever and i did well and i placed high among the hundreds who entered and yet i "officially" did not even run. so its killing me, and its a huge downer... it feels like all the motivation i had is just out the window
Now regarding the injury that followed. I noticed later in the day and more so in the morning my legs were hurting a lot which is to be expected but there was something clearly wrong with my right foot. the last three days its just gotten worse while my legs have felt better... which makes it more clear that there is some type of injury going on. i have no idea what it is, but i feel like i need crutches at this point because i cant even put any pressure on my right foot and its hard to walk at all. so now i cant even practice running short slow runs a few times a week like i was before. so im even more bummed out. if i had that time i scored on the list on their site and in the paper and everything like they do with my name as it should be on there, at least id have all of it be worth it and id feel better about the whole situation
Well, I was just hoping for some support from any fellow runners out there and if anyone knows what may be wrong with my foot or anything i could do to help that would help also. thanks for reading :/

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity. ~ Albert Einstein
