Good idea, Aural! I think that I will definitely go that way next time. I probably should have thought and read a little more before I cooked the grain. Amaranth turns rather gelatinous once cooked, and quinoa expands 400% while cooking! I started out with one pot, and ended up with three full pots going!

I personally just dreamt about using Workman's birdseed tek, available on his site... just add the right amount of grain and water (experiment with a couple runs) and pressure cook. If you get it right, it's not too sticky, not too dry. I had some dream sequences, quite long in fact, about experiementing with various pre-soak H2O amounts and times, and I enventually gave up and gave a bow to Workman's superior experience.
