Downloading uploaded mp3s from The Shroomery

Is the mp3 uploads function messed up or something?  I posted my new "Mp3 Of The Month" today and something is wrong.  You could preview it just fine, but you couldn't play it.  When you click on the link, it says "image has been deleted by this user" or something. 

So I uploaded my file again.  This time, if you click on the link, it goes to a new screen and plays the file but doesn't give you the option to download it.  Lil' help?  Thanks.

Like images, uploads are now stored on an offsite server. After you make a post with an attachment, it may take a short while for the file to be transferred. If you try and download the file before the transfer is complete, you will receive an error. I suspect if you had waited, the download link would have worked okay. But I will make an informative error page instead of the "image has been deleted" placeholder, which is confusing.

I did fix the MP3 auto-play thing. Technically it's by design and the fix is to edit the default action for the MP3 MIME type on your local system. But whatever, it's easy enough for us to send an octet stream and bypass this feature. Please let me know if you have trouble downloading any files, especially those with extended characters in the name.

Hey update, Ythan.  The last song that I uploaded still is not downloadable two days later.  So I think there must be some sort of a problem with that one.  Click here to check it out.  Also, the songs that I've uploaded since the change up have not been added to my "My Uploads" list.

That particular track link still takes me to the "file unavailable" screen, so let me try another one as a test......................

Whoops I forgot to fix that Jimi upload. Should be okay now. But yeah it will work in the future too. :smile: The problem was with apostrophes in the filename.
