Here's a poll about some issues I've been kind of curious about. Note that the questions are just things that have been kicking around in my mind and they're not necessarily indicitive of any particular direction that we're planning on taking the page. Also, they're for information only and the responses may not affect any decisions in the future. If you have the time, please post a reply elaborating on your poll responses. Hi there! I honestly think you guys are doing an awesome job! I've never thought about leaving the site. This is a great way to let it all out. Frustration, concerns and just feelings in general. I never knew there were sites like this around. I'm a friend of wrestler_az. I've never experienced shrooms before. Wrestler_az was visiting me one day and showed me this site. He told me that I could find out anything that I wanted to know off of here. This month, wrestler is going to deshroominize me! I'm so excited! If there was anything that I would suggest changeing, it would be all the anonymous users. I don't see why people feel like they have to hide. Everybody seems to be open and honest and that's what keeps me here. So thank you!!!

It's pretty funny to see that a website dedicated about giving information concerning various drugs, can be so addictive to it's users. 
The shroomery is a home away from home, but it's the people who make the site a good one. Users, mod and admin's.

I don't htink I have met one mod or admin that I didn't think kicked all sorts of tail!

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Uhh....I thought they do sell shroomery clothing. I have a hoodie from the shroomery but it was obtained by other means. Excellent site!!!!!!!!!!

If anything here needs to be fixed I would say the appearance and layout are really the only things. I frequent a few other message boards much more often than I do the Shroomery here, mostly due to the fact that they are laid out so much better. They have stricter limits on avatar sizes and signatures and you can navigate between forums much easier.

Considering that 27 others feel the same way, there are far too many dumbasses. Therefore, an official site gathering (at least US) would draw DEA like pigs to shit.
Personally, I don't feel very secure at this site. I know it'd take a lot to get a warrant for a list of IPs and the server's outside of the US, but if I was growing I wouldn't even post a grow-log or ask a question. Maybe I'm just too paranoid.
Admins are admins. A bigger precense will lead to favors, annoying users, ppl who think they can get away with doing/saying anything which unfortunately is already happening around these boards. You guys need to stick to regulating, not getting on a first name basis with every user.

You know I love this place more than any other website. I spend about 90% of my internet time here (which can't be healthy.. ) but that's besides the point.
If I was asked for what could be improved... I would say mass PMs... PLEASE give us the ability to send the same PM to multiple people by putting a , or ; between their names.. that would be so sweet.
As for people having an "account self-destruct button" which deletes all their posts, I think is a bad bad idea. In the 5 or so years I've been here I've seen people want to delete their accounts before.. many times.. and when the admins comply and delete their post history and everything.. 8 times out of 10 they comes back later and wish they didn't do it and want to go back. Not to mention it makes a big mess when sifting through old posts.. as you will find whole threads intact but missing all the posts from that person and having a blank space saying "anonymous".. it can be rather annoying. If people had the ability to delete their own accounts, you would have a lot of people 'accidentally' deleting their accounts, people doing it rashly and then regretting it later.. much more than the people that might actually NEED to delete it because the feds are on their tail. And usually by that time it's too late anyway, it's not like they wait around for you to delete your account before they try and read what you say , and if they really wanted to watch you it wouldn't matter anyway. What you would have is 100 newbies a week because a lot of people would 'accidentally' delete their account or whatever and then regret it. Then every post would say anonymous on it.. how annoying would that be.
I say if you really want to delete your account, take the two minutes or whatever to PM an admin so that they can ask you ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE? and then hit the button. It's not like how fast you delete your account is ever going to save you from the DEA or someone reading what you posted... if they are watching you, they are watching you.. and deleting your shroomery account isn't going to save your ass. And you really shouldn't be posting things to incriminate yourself on a public message board in the first place. But I think a delete account button available to everyone would cause a lot more chaos than good. There's a reason admins are the only ones with that feature.. I think.

Not only that, but it would commercialize it a bit too much. I wouldnt want to see 'vendors' or sumthing start appearing a few years down the line. Keep it personal, there's nothign wrong with that.
I'd like to see some improvements on the quick reply feature. Honestly, i hardly use the regular 'full mode' reply. It would be nice to have something similar to the quick reference for the 'Use Smileys' feature in 'Use UBB code' type thing.
Just a link to quickly add UBB codes. Like image, link, etc.
Really tho, this site is great and i've seen a lot of good improvements over time.
I agree with the 'PM admin to delete image/posts' idea. Keep it that way.
As for the new recruits, we have tons of newbies coming in at a steady flow already. I dont think we need to advertise at all.

ya I agree with the gathering thing..
Gatherings right now are epic.. but they aren't "official shroomery sponsored gatherings" I mean it's from the shroomery but it's not like the admins are setting it up. You guys have enough on your plate as it is... and I don't think making them 'official' would change anything except maybe get a few narcs interested. Though Ythan, I must say.. you and Thor MUST make it to the Ohio Gathering next year. That is all.
