This poll has 76 views yet somehow it has 101 votes.At one time it had 56 views and 89 votes.

This poll has 172 views and it has 179 votes. I made a post in this poll noting that at the time it had 143 views and 174 votes .

Why is this allowed and how is it possible? This sadly brings doubt upon each and every poll on this site.

No sorry, clicking on a poll on the Entrance takes you to the poll and it shows up as a view. (I just tried it)

Hmm, true....
I think that the post counts are not correct for some reason, if one does a poll, one must come to the forum. And in the board software only one vote per poll and user is allowed.

Well maybe, I looked at some of the other polls in the poll forum (not all of them) and those two were the only ones I saw that were like that.

If you vote in the "poll of the day" that's on the entrance page, then no you don't go to the poll in a forum. If you click on view more polls it takes you directly to whatever forum the poll is in.
And being as there are only two polls I can find with more votes than views, I have to doubt that they're on the up and up.
If I'm wrong and they are on the level, then perhaps votes from the entrance page should also change the number of views accordingly so as to eliminate any possible "errors".

I didn't mean to suggest it was a shroomery admin or mod doing the number jiggling. If it came across that way I apologize. I had in mind a devious member (not anyone in particular) who had stumbled across a way to play with the numbers for their own amusement.
