A Few Changes to the Shroomery Administration

Right now the admins of the Shroomery aren't being as effective as we could be. We need to be more responsive to members and mods, and increase collaboration among ourselves and with the rest of the community. This will be a continual process but we've started making the first changes.

We're doing a bit of restructuring, and an admin spot opened up. Geokills is a thoughtful, smart and helpful individual who has been a great mod, and he was selected from among many excellent candidates to fill that position. We feel that he'll be a valuable addition to our team and would like to thank him for accepting the often difficult task.

In order to clarify the structure of the administration, we're dividing up the responsibilities into two categories and are individually focusing on one of these two. Geokills, along with two others, is a community admin. I'm one of several technical admins.

The job of the Community Admin is basically responding to issues concerning our members and moderators. They are responsible for BB tasks such as moving, closing and deleting threads, as well as banning and unbanning members. They are also there to field suggestions, complaints and praise about the site in general, and consolidate them into a suggested plan of action for the technical admins to implement. If you're having a non-technical problem with the site, they're the ones to talk to. The current community admins of the Shroomery are:

geokills
Moe
Papaver

Technical Admins are responsible for the maintenance and continued improvement of the server and web pages. They install and debug scripts, implement new features, and generally make sure the Shroomery is available and up to date. You should contact them when you receive an error using the site, or when you notice something which isn't working as intended. This includes things like broken links and technical problems with BB accounts. The current technical admins of the Shroomery are:
