Should penis-shrinking sorcery be a punishable offense? Your views.
    #8334558 -

Hmm.

So what do you think? This is a very important subject, anytime someone is alleged to have harmed another's body it is, but should a state recognize penis sorcery as a crime? Now varying accounts list the arrests in the present case as more akin to protective custody, but how about the larger issue?

Given that proof is very hard to cum upon, should we not even recognize such an ill defined offense? What if innocents are accused of sorcery and are unable to erect proof they are not sorceresses- should the balls be all in the accuser's court?

What should the burden be in such a case, if one is allowed to proceed?

So what do you think of this difficult question of politics, law, and criminal justice?

Panic over Penis Snatching
http://livenews.com.au/Articles/2008/04/24/Congo_police_arrest_penis_snatching_sorcerors

Police in the Democratic Republic of Congo have arrested 13 suspeceted sorcerers accused of using black magic to steal or shrink men's penises.

Reports of the so-called penis snatching surfaced last week in Congo's capital Kinshasa, triggering a wave of panic and attempted lynchings.

Although such accusations are not uncommon in West Africa, where belief in traditional religion and witchcraft remains widespread and ritual killings still occur, talk-back radio shows were quickly flooded with calls.

Listeners were advised to beware of fellow passengers in communal taxis wearing gold rings and some said the 'sorcery' was an attempt to extort cash with the promise of a cure.

The supposed victims, of whom 14 were also held by police, claimed the sorcerers simply touched them to make their genitals shrink or disappear.

Kinshasa's police chief, Jean-Dieudonne Oleko said police were arresting both the accused sorcerors and their victims in an effort to avoid widespread bloodshed.

"You just have to be accused of that, and people come after you. We've had a number of attempted lynchings. ... You see them covered in marks after being beaten.

Similar accusations in Ghana led to the deaths of 12 suspected penis snatchers at the hands of an angry mob a decade ago Mr Oleko said.

"I'm tempted to say it's one huge joke."

"But when you try to tell the victims that their penises are still there, they tell you that it's become tiny or that they've become impotent. To that I tell them, 'How do you know if you haven't gone home and tried it'."

I say that if the balls have been handed to her and she cannot erect proof that she is not a sorceress then she should be bukkaked and feathered..

That is a rather stiff position, I approve a softer approach.

I think the accuser should have to prove she is a sorceress. He must erect a hard case so that at the climax their is no unfulfilled questions as to her new tricks. Your flacid process could strip bare the freedoms of the country, instead we must insist that no flacid case be sustained unless everyone cums around to it fully engorged with the conviction that she is guilty.

Only then may the state service the parties in a way that the naughty deserve, and the innocent demand.
