do u guys think i should do a crumble and case?

i have 4 pint cakes that are on their 3rd flush of mushrooms..... im debating on taking one and crumbling it into a sterilized container, and pouring a qrt jar or two of sterilized compost (scotts 3 n 1, and verm mix) over it.. ill then place it in a a dark place ..and forget about it for a while.... anyone have any guesses on how long it would take....

1 pint cake crumbled w/ 1 quart compost? thanks... are the chances HIGH that i will contaminate doing this ? any suggestions to keep from that happening??

Yeah, well if you've already had three flushes from the cakes then it is worth a try isn't it? You don't have much to loose...
I'd suggest looking up some 'Dung Tek's' and following them, except replace where it says 'grain spawn' or whatever with 'crumbled cake'...
Just remember with shit / compost, you only want to pasturise it rather than sterilise, as there are friendly bugs in it that will help fight off contams for you if you don't fry em. I'd say give it a try. Who knows, you could end up harvesting more than all three flushes from your cakes?!
