Crumble Casing Questions

I am fairly new to the casing scene, and have done pretty well, but all the casings ave been done from crumbled PF-cakes, and don't seem to have a very high yield. Does it all depend on your casing material? Or is it more to do with the colonized substrate you choose? Thanks!

If you've fruited cakes successfully and cased cakes successfully and now you want more yeild from your casings, move on to bulk substrates such as rye grain spawn in horse poo or straw or a mixture of the two.

I recently collected some fresh horse poo from a nearby field. It already had some straw, and a few woodchips on top of it, I guess so it would compost, or decompose faster in the fields. Anyways, I have been letting it sit and cure in the sun, should I pasturize it now?
