Yah, bad idea. I smoke a pack a day ( or more if i'm drinking ), have tried multiple times to quit and have not rally had success to date. When I first started someone warned me about how hard it was to quit and I blew it off, but now I understand that dude knew his shit.

Don't bother with it..its only going to get more and mroe expensive and less and less socially acceptable as time goes on.

i have no problem with tobacco. I have a big problem with cigarettes. If you're going to start smoking tobacco go to a real cigar shop and buy a nice corn pipe and smoke pipe. Cigarettes are the fucking devil man. Make sure you do some research into the brand you're buying so you don't get any of those other chems they add to the tobacco in cigs.

It fucking sucks dude. When you first start craving them you don't really think its a big deal because whats 1 or 2 a day when your already smoking weed or having a drink anyway. But...its after the first 5 months that it starts to get ya, you find yourself waiting for a smoke or craving breaks just to get as many down ya as possible.

After a few years you begin to think its a normal thing until you run into someone who comes from a household where no one smokes and they tell you all you smell like is smoke. Whats worse is after 2 days of not smoking you know that they are right and you fucking smell like smoke.

Once you hit that point where you realize its a terrible thing for you , your usually very happy to give it up. Which explains the very preachy fucking self rightous ex smokers.

To make a long story short, if you want to start up an addiction that will take its toll on your health and your lifestyle, by all means go for it, but don't say no one warned you about how shitty it gets after a while.

Like honestly...Its probably one of the worst inventions of mankind...it truly is a 5 minute buzz at its best, a sickening throat killer at its worst. And in between the fun of addiction and shortened breathe and horrible smell...

Please take these views into account. Coming from a smoker who still hasn't quit yet despite knowing all this obvious stuff :frown:

That just isn't a good idea at all. Smoking cigarettes is just so dumb and pointless. I used to smoke and still have one on occassion, if I'm shitty drunk, but I am cutting back on my alcohol consumption, so I don't have the urge to smoke near as much anymore.

its really not the tobacco in the cigs, even tho thats pretty shitty too but its the papers theyre wrapped in. just recently they added more chemicals so that the cigarettes will burn out if u leave it alone for a while. its supposed to prevent fires.

Don't do it. I'm a smoker and I wish I wasn't.

Nicotine is more addictive than both crack and heroin. Think about that for a while.

And no offense but starting smoking to lose weight is probably one of the dumber things I've heard. Try eating healthy and exercise. Smoking will only lead to respiratory problems/lung cancer/heart disease/emphyzema etc, etc etc.

i have really no urge to start smoking

i was tripping on wednesday and had to sit on the floor to avoid the smoke

i came home with my throat positively ravaged
