you dont really want to get an amp(like a guitar amp or anything) you need a PA system. It's two monitors and a mixxer(which i think is the power amp aswell) You can buy a cheap one for as little as 100 dollars at mars(mars went out of buisness though, try guitar center or Americanmusicalsupply.com) It's not gonna be a good one, but it has 100 watts two speakers and a mixxer so it might serve your purposes well. I'd recomend getting at least a 300 watt though espessially if your band has large amps or wild drumming. A mixer is important though, espessially if you ever want others to have mics or if you want to start micing your instruments.

Our band doesnt have a PA(cept for my brothers 100 watt shit that i just described to you) Our sound guy does have a PA though and it's enormous over 1000 watts with like 6 monitors. We are able to mic all our intruments and have 4 vocal mics, and i'm sure we could have more too. It's so large that it has caused big power problems at this one paticular bar. The circuit went out like 20 times one night and would cut out the vocal mics and keyboards and second guitar amp, as well as the PA. and since i was standing right next to the breaker i had to flip it everytime hahah. The cicuit breaker esspesially hated the last song we played...it went out like 6 times in one song...We got extenstion chords for next time and spread out some of the power next time, and all was well.
