Tasmanian not producing psilicybin?
    #781792 -

I posted this in the general forum, they told me to ask here. hmmph
okay heres the problem:

So I have tasmanians growing mad. I dried my first flush. Using a food dehydrator, no heating unit. I dosed a good 4 grams dry. I felt NOTHING. They blue reallly well. I know they are tasmanians. I got the spores from ralphster. Maybe theyre just a look alike that blue? They also have dark purple prints. I dont know Its very disappointing that I put so much time and effort into my babies, and nothing. Anyone know what could be the problem?

when you say blue really well, do you mean they were blue?
what were the situations surrounding the consumption?
what substrate?
are you sure the dehydrator is free of a heater unit? most have one.
and are you sure that they were truely cracker dry, and not just dry on the outside.. that could throw off your weight quite a bit.

Some people naturally have a tolerance to the active chemicals produced. Have you ever tripped before on mushies? If not have you ever had experience with other tryptamines and if so how was it.

Hmmm.....my bet is on the dehydrator......everyone i know that uses them seem to have the same problem.....if your sure they are cracker dry then try raising the dose...... try taking some fresh mushies and either dosing fresh or fan dry them.....once again though make sure they are completely dry......

hope that helps

strange happenings.....

i had tasmania a couple months ago,
i ate 7 grams dry and would have tripped a bit,
but then decided to bump my dose up another 6 grams.

ssure did work nicely for me that night.

tasmanian is my favorite strain, so uniform..

Good luck bro,

you ate 13 grams dry... thats nearly a half..
you ate 7 grams and would have tripped a just a bit?
perhaps you need to re-evaluate your strain or how your consumeing them!..
that would be one hell of a trip...

A friend of mine also grew many many tasmanians and they too...were weak weak weak. he has much experience and cultivates many other cubie strands..

he got them from the hawks eye

wondering why? not technique problem for sure... produced more mushies and had the most beautiful pin set but weak!

That sucks. Choking down dried cubensis is really not my favorite thing, eating 13 grams would make me puke by the 4th gram.

I like eating PR's just cause I dont need many and they doo me well

if you need to eat that many grams dry of tasmanians you are either full of shit (which is likely) or you may as well find yourself another substance...
Tassies are potent cubensis in my opinion, but maybe your sporematch was bad...

yea i think 13 grams is a bit of an exaggeration to impress people or somethin. 7 grams of good, dried shrooms would make me trip like hell!

Everyone is so quick to judge. Why is it so unbeleiveable that someone would eat 13 grams, perhaps he ate it over a period of hours. I had a friend who ate a 1/2 oz of B+. He did freak out really bad, but he lived through it . He told me he was looking at his arm and it turned into a flipper right before him. Then he went and apoligized to his parents for all the years of drug abuse (for they had kicked him out a few months prior) He flipped out.
I hope this is believable.
That sucks that the tassies did not work, I like PR's I only eat like 1.5grams and that's enough for me.

On a few occasions I have eaten 12 grams of treasure coasts. I have slowly worked my way down to 5 per trip only because I had no memory of whether I even had a good time or not. So I believe he may have taken that many, it was probably inferior mushies.

Awww blue meanie, you should know better..

A half ounce is usually the highest i will go,
It really drains me for a day or so after..
And there really is no reason for me to go higher.

14 grams is a tall order i admit, but it is just fine,
No hallucinations, i just feel like half mushroom half human for the night.

On the New years eve of 2000 i had taken close to 12-14 grams of what i suspected to be B+,
Well i got trapped inside of our two room tent (we were at a big concert in the everglades big cypress national park),
Locked inside that tent i freakin lost it.
Went to the gates of heaven and then sat at a table with the devil himself with all the paper work to sell my soul to him.. and mjshroomer said that it would be a white wedding for me, huh, don't think i don't remember that shit mj
Once i found my way out of that damn tent everything got better..

So long as i am not trapped inside of a tent that felt like a rubix cube with no gravity, im fine. ..it was a rather painful experience but once out of that awful tent i looked into the mirror in my old car and there was that pretty face of Cubensis smiling at me..

Eh, whatever,

Keep shroomin,
GG

How big are you?? The first time I ate 4 grams I really didn't feel all too much. I'm 6 and half feet tall and weigh 270 so I have to consume more than the average person. It takes me about 6-7 grams to have visuals.

I got my spores from Ralphster, and I did some research and they ARE NOT Tasmanians they are THAI "LIPA YAI" 's Anyone else have any experience with this strain? Im sure they were cracker dry and everything else. I will eat them fresh, Ill see what will happen. Im guessing the gene pool WAS bad. Anyone have any PR prints? Syringes? I only have money, haha I dont think anyone wants THESE prints.

Hmms, weird.
Well, I've just grown some Lipa Yai from a print I got from Ralphster, so I'll let you know if they have much effect when I get a chance to try them.

I should know better? Read my post! I didnt say that you cant do it and I for one have in the past eaten that much cubensis (when I later realised that I could have eaten a lot less of a better psilocybe and had a better experience).
He's post says that they barely had any effect - at seven grams that is bullshit if they are tassies = Lipas are a different issue though - we ate a casing each of those and got no effect - vendor hype sucks balls!!!
