commercial food dehydrators?
    #440014 - 10/28/01 11:47 PM (22 years, 11 months ago)

Does anyone know if using a commercial food dehydrator like the ones they sell at Wall Mart would decrease the potency of shrooms?

If they use heat this wouldn't be a good idea because heat could destroy the psychoactive compounds. Just follow the mmgg way of drying them. It's simple, cheap, and has about no effect on the potency

That being said, I've read in several different places that people have used dehydrators on the lowest setting or even with the heat off and had them work great. But if you're just going to not use the heat, just buy a cheap fan and use it to dry them in a collander or something.. I use a collander with a fan and it works great.

Food dehydrators work very well, heat should not be much of an issue here, but if you are worried, many of them allow you to turn the heat down.
