First off, don't start thinking that you have schizophrenia, or any other mental disorder for that matter. Think positive and stay real with yourself. Be confident. You have a lot of control over you mental chemistry just by your attitude and positive mindset. So don't lead yourself to believe that there is something wrong with your head. That will just open you up to it being something more real than it is.
We all have problems with our heads to some extent. Most people just have them in very small ways, and they go mostly unnoticed, but its all part of being human.
Even some people who have very big and real mental disabilities often learn how to adapt to them and still be functional to the point that their psych problems aren't an issue.
If you do happen to have some kind of chemical imbalance going on, then try not to focus on it too much. Focusing on it will only MAGNIFY it, and make it more real to you, and more of an issue.
Just have faith in who you are and work on a healthy attitude....like focusing on good things in life and staying connected to others in a positive way. That might help your chemistry more than any meds will.
I am not a doctor so what do I know? I have only overcome my own mental problems a great deal through what I am telling you....and it works.
However, if a doctor does diagnose you with schizophrenia, then you better do what the doctor says including medication. But for heaven sakes, don't go chasing a doctor down to get yourself a good label.

if you are a book-reader....
please go to the library and find something/anything by dr abram hoffer... he has written several very useful books about schizophrenia...
some of his theories on how to treat it may be controversial among "mainstream medicine" folks, ...
hoffer & osmund diagnostic (HOD) is a useful tool for scoring yourself on percepual and experiential "markers" that seem to indicate shizophrenic thinking ( a simplified version is found in one or two of his books & is called the "symptometer" --- a very cool test to take... hehheh, try it tripping sometime ...)

I probably am not schizophrenic. I think I just tripped too much and my view on everything is fucked up. I'm not depressed at all, so I guess I'm ok.

any kind of delusion is classified as schizophrenia unless its drug induced in some way and is only temporary if symptoms go away then its not scitzo . scitz gets worse along your life not better

early onset can include

Confusion
Inability to make decisions
Hallucinations
Changes in eating or sleeping habits, energy level, or weight
Delusions
Nervousness
Strange statements or behavior
Withdrawal from friends, work, or school
Neglect of personal hygiene
Anger
Indifference to the opinions of others
A tendency to argue
A conviction that you are better than others, or that people are out to get you

I used to think I was schizophrenic, and funnily enough I have most of the symptoms you listed, with some extra ones in addition ...

But I have found out through harsh self-analysis that most of the fears I have are made by myself. Once you get rid of the fear there is nothing to hurt you.

people whoa re depressed or socialphobic also have most of these symptoms even some delusions

it could be somthing else. it still wouldent hurt to go hit up a doc and find out tho

early detection is the key to successful treatment

also if you have family history of it id goto the doctor today

tho doctors have a loving to diagnoised jsut based on your family history so make sure u get the proper scans

A few ultra intense trips left me feeling like i was skitzophrenic or had OCD.

I just worried about it too much. Kept busy, didnt think about it and i was fine after a few weeks of not tripping. Now giving my brain a much needed break.

i used to have mild OCD when i was a kid
when i was little (actually after i started playing videogames, around 8) i always twitched and made sounds cuz i HAD to, when i saw a dateline special on it i saw kids that had it REAL FUCKIN BAD and i wasnt that bad, but it still interfered with my life. my friends probably thought i was crazy, i was always twitching and making weird noises. usually it got real bad when i was stressed out, but it stopped eventually, around the age of 14 or so. so now i dont get the "urge" to make a noise anymore, so hey you never know with mental disorders. im 17, i smoke pot, and ive been reading a lot of shit here cuz im seriously considering tripping.

I quit weed for 5 weeks. don't feel any better.
My memory is still fucked and im deeper into space.
I had a smoke last night and got caught on a thought loop.

i get OCD when im stressed out too.

dickdeadly, I had the same thing as you. I started playing video games at 6 or 7. I still do, but I don't make those wierd sounds no more.

I had a friend like that. He would always make these freekin 'video game noises' like from mairo brothers or something. It was fine up until like 6th grade, but then I kinda started wondering if he was wrapped too tight or what. Maybe he had that. Maybe it was the school we went to... I donno.
