i agree with others that usually tests are made more difficult or just are more difficult when a cheat sheet is allowed. i've actually had tests before where the teacher even made up a cheat sheet for us. sometimes cheat sheets aren't that great of an advantage if you don't know how to solve the problem hence why studying is key.

Yes I am.

And the cheat sheet helped somewhat on the midterm. I think I probably got around a 75%. Average is usually 50-60%. I feel good about it.

~I got a 91% on my calc midterm which is awesome. I am easily going to get an A in calc. My calc class is straight up meaning no curves.

~I got a 80% on my chem midterm and the average was 68%. This class is curved which means in reality 68%=75%.

I am happy. If I get a good grade on my physics I will shit myself.

I don't know if it's unique here, I doubt it, but I don't think that's the case. Typical average test scores in classes like early level calc, physics, chem, and other such classes are generally in the 50s. I don't know if that's true once you get to higher levels... maybe they're just "weeding out" courses, but either way, the test grades here fucking suck. I don't get the point.

Yea most classes have curves to compensate for the low average scores. Like most classes will round the average to 75% and adjust your score accordingly. Except my fucking calc class, that is just a straight up no curve class.

Calc always is it seems.
I dropped out of 151 last year because I had a C- and was having a lot of trouble. I didn't find out until a week later that I was pretty much in the same boat as everyone else.

Probably.
All the dudes that I live with are painting themselves purple supposedly and putting their letters on their chest in gold (their frat colors?) Should be interesting.

Yea its either 70 or 75. I forget really. Either way I am above average which is always a good thing. means my B- will become a B.

So have you ever heard the story about the professor who made his exam so difficult that he told his students that they could use whatever they could carry with them into the exam for help. On the day of the exam, students came in carrying stacks of books, except for this one, cocky football player. He came in carrying the kid with the highest grade.
