I posted a journal thread about death/reincarnation. Feel free to have a look and give feedback. I'm certainly no expert, having no proof of having been here before or having ever died. hmmm...that sounds strange.
David Crosby's song Deja Vu has some inter string lyrics about reincarnation.
I'll have to Google 'em and get back. Get back to where you once belonged. Oooops, that's the Beatles. jj.

Don't listen to any living person who claims to know what death is, unless they've been brain dead for at least 72 hours and can prove it.;)

I just received some Sunday coloured comics from my Dad in Toronto.

I saw one I just HAD to share w/y'all!
I should scan it but instead, for now, I'll describe it...it's one panel after all.

Two female angles are reading the obituary pages like singles ads. One is reading, the other looking on with a hopefully expression. The one reading reads the following: "Hey, check this one out! Tall professional, forty-one, loved Mozart, old movies, long beach walks and bungee jumping.

Whatta think o'that? Black humour yes, but quite clever no?

Not sure. Angles are geometric objects consisting of two intersecting lines. How or why they would read comics is beyond me.

If you meant angels, then again I am confused. Angels are not dead humans, but distinct and highly superior entities and thus would have no romantic interest in humans dead or alive.

Sorry, but taking a hallucinogen does not equal death. I have had hundreds of these experiences, and while they are profound, they do not equal death. My experiences run the gamut from reliving the past to out of body experiences to communication with entities to living life as another person while intoxicated on hallucinogens, but this is only a dream. Death is the unknown, and as far as anyone knows, the end of awareness. To say that you can see beyond death by taking a hallucinogen is self delusion based in fear. It is also worth noting that hallucinogens are well known for their lack of toxicity and there is almost zero chance of an overdose leading to illness let alone death. I have taken as much as 1200 to 1500 mcg of LSD (that is 12 hits)with no ill effects.

when i talk about death, im referring to the death of my ego not actual death. before i enter the eternal moment, ego death happens then "i" die then i become eternity. i come back and "i" have expanded in consciousness out of my body.

You can't kill the ego, or you will die. There is must be at least bit of the ego for the body to survive.

I was reading the book, "LIfe and death of Krishnamurti" by Mary Lutyens, in which the author describes various instances where Krishnamurti would leave his body and a "physical elemental" would take control of his body, and it would communicate with whoever was taking care of Krishnamurti's body on the outside.

I wonder if this physical elemental is the basic ego?

check out www.pathlights.com s creation /evolution encyclopedia. Some of their points are stupid but the ones about space, physics and DNA are scientifically sound and unfortunately that means evolution is false. at least to a major degree. evolution within a species is legit but from one to another. Ever cross a cubie with a Psil Azure...wont work cuz they are different strains, but a cubie with a different cubie will.

This was in response to the how do you know there was a designer comment.

unfortunately that means evolution is false

Speciation (one species turning into another) has been observed directly in the laboratory in certain fast-breeding animals. It's also why bacteria develop antibiotic resistance.

Cover your eyes and ears and say "I can't HEAR you" if you like. The truth will still be true.

2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child.
3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer.

4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

i have stripped away my ego until all i am left is just an observer. you can call that observer an ego, i will call it awareness. when i have an obe, i go out of ego consciousness into consciousness. maybe we have differing definitions of what ego is?

The things is, you can't take your personal beliefs to be the ultimate truth. it may be true to you, but not necesarrily to anyone else.

You are right about everything you think. But so is everyone else.

^^^ if you are talking to me, then being offended is something that i feel, not what others feel. nobody can tell me that im offended if im not feeling offended. seeming isn't believing.
