You're exposing your parents to a legal risk they should not have to endure without their knowledge and consent. More than appropriate to throw them away.

That blows. Sorry about the bad news. I've been there. In essence everybody conforms to something in some sort of way. Your parents might disagree with laws and fight them, but losing a house or your freedom you speak of is a very large thing to gamble. I don't blame them and had the same thing happen to me. Everything seems ok until someone gets in trouble and has to pay the price. Doing time is not easy, and certainly not worth mushrooms. I don't recommend growing mushrooms in a country where the law prohibits it.
