LC syringe broken in shipping - need advice

i had a liquid culture syringe sent to me from someone and the tip was broken off in shipping somehow. there is still some mycelium in the syringe but i doubt its still contam free. so my question is: other than using agar to grow some culture, is there any way i can get what is left of this mycelium isolated away from the contams to make a new LC?

just inject a jar and see what happens.If it contams only agar work can save it.
