Getting Offended by: "Statistical Profiling"........

If accurate statistical survey results are collected and compiled,
and some of that statistically correct data points out a commonality with a certain race or gender or any other group of people,
is it "correct" for that specified group of people to then claim that this correct data is the act of "Profiling"....?

I call this strategic move: "Reverse-Profiling".... (Does it already have a name....?)
......It is when the "offended for being part of a group" people point the blame of "profiling" at the messengers of the accurate statistical data -
because of the fact that they got put into a "group" and were pointed out without their permission.....

If it IS considered "profiling", then the collecting of ALL data should be outlawed....!

Its fun when bigots call other bigots "bigots" in the media. The black ones and the white ones love to get offended at each other in public. It must give them a sense of power. Why invest that much focus and energy when one could enjoy life for what it is? They are probably attached to money, that's why. If you can get rich off these people, then why not, right? :rolleyes:

What is the conceptual difference between these two situations?

The government finds a statistical connection between drugs and crime, therefore outlaws drugs.

The government finds a statistical connection between Islam and Terrorism, and therefore outlaws the Islamic religion.

I think the news should just have a Mood menu, kind of like the one here at the shroomery, where as each news story is told, the mood with its correlating color sits in the upper right hand corner.
