Cinnamon flavored mushrooms?!?!

I got a D12 dehydrator

For those who do not know what it is heres a link

I was wondering if I could throw a couple of sticks of cinnamon while I dehydrate my fresh rooms to give them flavor & so it does not stink up my apt while they are drying... it stinks when they are drying!

has anybody experimented with throwing any kind of flavoring with their shrooms while they here dehydrating???
If so, please share your experience!

I do not think just laying cinnamon sticks near the mushroom in a dehydrator would flavor a mushroom ... at all. But never experimented with it.

your prob right but
I am up for suggestions

drying 10 lbs + of fresh shrooms in a dehydrator smells like ass
flavoring would hurt when consuming either

I would use oranges, probably would help the smell better. If you want flavoring, im thinking mabey koolaid sprinkled on them when wet, would make them taste better dry, i dunno.

serious yes, but maybe you should be more discreet. telling people you have 10+ pounds of fresh shrooms isn't the best idea. :grin:

'shrooms' is widely known as slang for hallucinogenic mushrooms, not edibles.

and if you really are talking about edibles then you have the wrong forum. This forum (Mushroom Cultivation) is for "psychoactive mushrooms."

"Gourmet and Medicinal Mushrooms" is where you should be.

don't even bother flavoring your mush, if you dont like the taste just make tea or juice with them.

Grind them and stock them as pills.
There won't be any taste and you'll feel the effect much faster.

10 lbs of wet mushrooms = only about a lb dry,surly I am not the only one here who does not think that that is an astronomical drug dealing amount of mushrooms

What if you rolled the mushrooms in lemon juice before putting them in the dehydrator? Wouldn't that leave them with a lemony taste when dried?

Lemon juice is acidic. It would ruin the mushrooms.

Sadly, my Nitro R/C Hobby has cost me way more then $700.

$700 is really nothing for this hobby. I know I'm a newb and you can flame me all you want, but the serious growers here have obviously invested a lot of money into this hobby. Flowhoods, pressure cookers, grain, jars, etc. all add up. Plus who says he doesn't use the dehydrator to actually dehydrate large amounts of other food besides mushrooms?

If you want to not taste the mushies then make them into chocolate. siply grind up 2g of dry mushrooms and place them into a icecube tray. Melt yourself enough chocolate to fill the rest the room in the cube and mix with toothpick. Stick that in the fridge. Trust me, no mushie taste =)
