-=) I just found a huge spot filled with Ps. Aucklandii (or what I believe to be, I'll post pics later) at my boyfriend's house.....I had never noticed them until it rained and boom, there they are. They're reasonably potent....at least 2 or 3 times that of cubensis, and stained rapidly to a greenish\blue color. I found them fruiting on imported hard wood mixed with pine debris. Needless to say, I'm very happy.

I doubt that you found a tropical species found only onthe North Island of new Zealand and in New South Wales, Australia.
This is wa species found only in the Austral Floral Zone.
It is possible that you may have come across some Psilocybe caerulipes which is known to occur from Florida to Quebec and has been reported from most East Coast States and as far west as Cinncinati, Ohio.
But to say you have collected a species common only in nthe Austral Floral Zone is not so.

Hi Baraka, well someone here at the shroomery did post some P. caerulipes, but I cannot recallthe thrad it was in, about a few years back maybe.
And at the time the person who posted those images was asking for hel[p in their identification. They were picked in Ohio, maybe cinncinati or Cleveland. Cannot recall for sure but theyr were caerulipes.
The caps are a chestnutcplor to straw-yellow in drying with white stems which bruised blue. The caps became flat with blue-green tinges along the outer edge of the caps and the stems are a off=white with bluing.

Found in a garden either in downdown of around a home or office building or possibly a restaurant, I do recall it was in a public place.
Good luck searching for the images.
AS for P. subs, a little late for most places right now but they can come up in compost heaps at riding stablles and racetracks.
rarer in manure although they have a cross-habitat between manure and rotted hay.
