No worries I was wondering if anyone had any links to any microscope pics and measurements of Ps zapotecorum? I would be very interested in comparing the microscopic features of these with the Ps aucklandii. inski.

Auckland New Zealand, not sure if these have been documented from anywhere else, maybe Australia. An interesting point is that according to guzman the microscopic features are very similar to Ps zapotecorum from Mexico! would love to take a look at this species under a scope. inski

Hooray! Glad you found some more. This week has been great for the Aucklandii, and I'll get to have another look tomorrow The bruising is crazy - very black. Most of the time, they'll be bruised before even picking.

great pics - you should email them to Paul stamets on the fungiperfecti webpage - im sure he'd be happy to have some newer, clearer pictures of this mushroom. There are specimens that are supposed to be either this mushroom or a very similar mushroom found in the Otway ranges, Victoria Australia, so this mushroom seems to also occur in Australia. When it finally rains again i will go and find out. How similar are these microscopically to the ones you had growing on your potting mix?

I remember you said there was some considerable size difference between the cystidia on the aucklandii to the other one. If that is the case, although the cystidia do look similar, im guess your probably right.
