Weird yellow crap

Well, I just birthed a cake. Contaimination has been a constistant problem from me - I used mushroom shake as my spore supply. Originally the contamination was this green crap, but to my delight the mushroom fungus beat it.

Heres the problem. I just put it in it's own small grow chamber (big ones are straight out, don't wanna loose an entire batch). For moisture I'm using perilite with water and a spash of h2o2 (hydrogen peroxide). Would this turn a cake thats made out of oatmeal a darker yellow color? Or is this an invading fungus?

Lots of mold myc starts out white. you inoculated your cake with hydrated peices of mushrooms? I am pretty sure that would open you up to lots of contams.

No, i used the gills from a mushroom that was dried.

So did you use the shake out of a bag of shrooms or gills from a dried shroom or both? I don't know about oatmeal so I couldn't tell ya but Blutjager is probably right with the metabolites. Its usually a piss yellow liquid and sometimes will stain your cakes or grain spawn. Nothing to worry about if thats all it is.
