Yellow Myceluim or mold??? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Help. I have yellow shit where i inculated on jars. I was TOLD that this is just myceluiim that truned yellow because its too moiste in jars. Is this true or is it contamination???

I'd say contam. But, give it a few more days... if it ain't bright white, that shit ain't right. Toss it if that is the case.

i truly hope that your jars arent contaminated. i also hope that my jars, which are also showing yellowing are not.

how far into incubation are you? is the yellowing beginning at the innoc sites around the jar? have you been praying daily?

I have some jars that had WAY too much moisture in them. I screwed up. They have lots of yellow, but smell like good old mycelium. Everytime I have had comtams, it stinks to all hell and is hard to miss.

I'd say they are good is they just smell fuzzy. :)

A small bit of yellow is completely natural. It is secreted by the mycelium. Next time cut back on your water content a tiny bit.

OK thanks alot. Its been 1 week after inculation. I opened the jars and they do smell kinda odd. But all of them do even the one i cooked 4 days ago. What should i do to keep the moisture out? Loosen Lids?

Myc. piss doesnt spread to uncolonised areas - i thought i had myc. piss but it turned out to be some weird yellow nasty that was half way through my jars. good luck
